I lived through the CA 2020 fire season downwind in NV, AQI's in the 300-500 range. I have asthma.
Get a cheap box fan for each room, and smoke rated furnace filters. Tape filters to back of fans. Run on high. (Only in the windows if you don't have AC)
It helps a LOT.
