Yeah, right. Manufacturing is in Lithuania and shop staff in UK are paid an hourly rate below the living wage. But it’s his tax bill that the problem. It’s easier just to assume human greed is behind every Telegraph headline.

A comment like this from any other US President would also be career ending. Trump Derangement Syndrome exists - it’s a condition afflicting those who continue to support him.

Particularly telling of a) the panic now consuming Trump-supporting Republicans and/or b) the desire of Trump-supporting Republicans to continue to curry favour with him, the use by Schmitt of the word ‘scumbag’ to describe Jack Smith is both deplorable and shocking and echoes Trump’s lack of class.

Macron: “Brexit is the biggest lie of the last 30 years. “Those who said, "We will be richer" - eight points of GDP less ten years later. "”We will solve the problem of immigration" - it is more complicated than before. "”We are going to crush it in international trade" - it is worse.”

This also sums up the American healthcare experience pretty well. American healthcare is a travesty. This is the bad place.

Burnham knows the potential cure - just like every PM since 1961. It’s up to him if he acts on it. In the meantime the UK will continue to languish economically. Putin’s money has been well spent.

Turns out the Bezos is not as interested in real news and holding the President to account as Katherine Graham. Still just think about how much money he’s saving by using the office junior to do puff pieces instead of real reporters with skill and journalistic integrity.

There is a solution to this problem. We all know it. (Well two solutions I suppose. The less palatable one is that UK firms could move to an EU member country.)

On the BBC News Katya Adler has just described Germany, where the far right AFD keep winning elections, as entering 'uncharted political territory'. Hmmm. Where Germany is concerned I think that territory is pretty well charted.

We’re being run by an unhinged, corrupt egomaniac who thinks he’s a king and has no use for the constitution. And most of the media still just covers it like it’s normal.

You can see right there why Trump has a problem with it. Too much tasteful and thoughtful art and crafts and not nearly enough tacky gold ornamentation and bling. The Philistine Presidency.

With unerring regularity and with real commitment to the effort Hegseth proves himself to be nothing more than a brainless toady. When Trump goes down - and he will - Hegseth and his ‘career’ is toast.

Ed Sheeran had the perfect ‘out’. All he had to say to his promoter was “This is the tour you’re promoting. If I support Macklemore and you cancel then you pick up the bill.” And all his promoter had to do was say the same thing to venues. It would cost Ed nothing, other than his ego. His ego won.

Willingness to believe in miracle cures and get rich quick schemes has always been a fascinating aspect of the American psyche - think Jim Baaker, Bernie Madoff, etc. Trump’s $5000 promise is simply appealing people who are happy to be duped (cf. “no more forever wars”, “release the Epstein files”)

But there is a cure. Get Ryanair and the other airlines on discount deals to pay proper landing fees and invest the money in staff and facilities. If they threaten to leave so be it. At least it’ll free up some space.

And 50% of all BAA management bonuses dependened on achieving satisfactory scores in key metrics set independently of local management. EDI’s current management metric is how much profit can be rung out while spending the bare minimum. The result is a pathetic embarrassment to Scotland.

EDI bosses think it’s OK based on a self-selecting survey of 0.4% of its pax!! When BAA owned EDI its continuous surveys measured satisfaction with 105 aspects of the arr & dep pax experience. Scores of less than 4.5/5 were cause for action. Less than 4 was unacceptable. apple.news/AIp4qst3ERiC...
