by the time the script is done, it’ll be something like 30k+ words? a single playthrough is the length of a solid movie. maybe 2 movies if you go for other endings. also the best of those words are steamy. i’m pretty proud of the romance + erotic aspects - it’s some of my best writing.

yuri visual novel progress is coming along nicely. writing is like 90% of the way there and all character busts & backgrounds are completed. i’ve also finished most of the music. a LOT of CGs still have to be done, and the ui is still default renpy, but we’re on track for an early winter release! ✨

i will rewatch UBW to see if maybe i’ve been horrifically wrong all this time, but i can at least say it is 100% preferable to the HF movies, animation quality aside ofc. i don’t love the fight scene focus in the newer adaptations; the characters and slice-of-life moments are what make FSN special.

i am a 2006 Fate Stay Night truther. while not perfect, it’s by far the best adaptation. ppl will complain about the animation all day, but it’s the adaptation that best captures the atmosphere and vibe of the visual novel (also the OST whips absolute ass). i will fight anyone on this point.

idk i think it’s good that fiction lets people play out scenarios they don’t want to (or really shouldn’t) experience IRL. fiction doesn’t function as a 1:1 mirror to reality. it’s a lot more kaleidoscopic than that. fiction has transformative capacities precisely because it’s not reality.

the best part of making art is the actual act of manifesting it. whether that’s drawing, writing, coding, playing an instrument, w/e. it is hard as hell sometimes. what you create is not always in alignment with your vision. it can come out clumsy, half-baked, & uncertain. it can be discouraging.
