Something I shared on Facebook, the only place I've personally seen people justifying Trump's and RFK's Tylenol claims, and I felt compelled to say something. Figured I'd share here as well 💙

I don’t usually share about my mental health, but in light of some recent White House comments about autism, I feel like this is something personal I'd like to talk about.
In my twenties, I went through addiction and recovery. Since then I’ve spent years trying to understand myself better. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD, and after years of therapy, my therapist has told me he has “zero doubt” I’m on the spectrum, even though I’ve never gone through the full formal diagnostic process.
Whether or not I’d check every box doesn’t matter to me. What matters is that I relate deeply to much of the autistic experience, and learning about it has helped me find healthier ways to cope and communicate. That said, for many people who do experience enough distress or impairment, having a formal diagnosis can make a huge difference in getting the support and accommodations they need.
I’ve also seen firsthand how autism is overlooked, misunderstood, and stigmatized. Those misunderstandings make life harder than it needs to be. Autism isn’t a flaw to be fixed—it’s a variation, like being left-handed in a right-handed world. The world wasn’t designed with autistic people in mind, but that doesn’t make them broken—it just means things take some adapting.
That’s why it’s so harmful to see people with serious influence like Trump and RFK Jr. pushing the false claim that Tylenol during pregnancy causes autism. There is no scientific evidence for this. Worse, it unfairly places blame on expectant mothers while ignoring real and complex factors involved, like genetics. All it does is reinforce stigma against autistic people, people who deserve understanding and respect, not fear-mongering.

I've had a lovely week off filled with hobbying and quality time with my girlfriend, which has felt like such a long time in the best way. Back to work tomorrow and back to something like a routine! Here are some of the Sons of Horus I painted up in anticipation for 3rd edition. #warhammercommunity

Ashurhaddon the First Reaver and a Sons of Horus Herald. They are based to match the Cthonian deserts, the texture paint is still drying.

This was a brilliant day - Sisters of Eldar organised a Women in Warhammer meet up at Warhammer World and it was super friendly, lots going on and just NICE. My younger self was extra happy too.

In an attempt to distract myself from the pain of being a trans person in the UK at the moment, I cracked on with my Votann this weekend. Painted up the Yaegirs kill team and the Hearthguard who will soon accompany my Kahl #warhammercommunity

I've recently been working on the whopping Rogal Dorn tank for my partner's Crusade force. This is my first proper attempt at prominent camouflage patterns and I'm very happy with how it's come out. #warhammercommunity

On this Castigator I tried to paint embroidered freehand for the first time, and it was a model on which I learned a lot. Since then I made even more complex freehand on the cloak of my Chaplain and learned a bit more about OSL. I painted him in 2018 but I feel like it was just two years ago 😬

Played another cracking game of MESBG today. This time as the breaking of the fellowship. Despite his best attempts at soloing the entire army, Aragorn couldn't clutch the victory by the end #warhammercommunity

Half the remaining members of the fellowship (Aragorn, Boromir, Gimli and Merry) battle a contingent of warriors of Gondor to secure a vital bridge across Osgiliath.
