As someone who spent many hours listening to Kirk’s show on AM radio, I would say that he made Rush Limbaugh seem like Walter Cronkite by comparison, in terms of rhetorical tone and empirical rigor. The subtext of every show was “You don’t hate the left enough.”

Let's all be very clear that ICE *and* regular cops refusing to identify themselves in any official or legible way is creating a situation that allows murderers and non-state kidnappers to successfully impersonate law enforcement. We had kidnappers do this in Philly this week in ICE costumes, too.

One of the reasons I think “defund the police” is a great slogan is that you get to repeatedly tell people that studies show that police don’t actually solve murders, and in fact one-third of stranger-murders are committed by police.
