The Disney renaissance movies used to look different. They were planned to be printed on 35 mm film -- that's how they were first released. Modern editions skip that last step in the process. It was a highly developed, overlooked craft, as we explore: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/disneys-fi...

No fucking AI! The examples below were done respectively using: Clip Studio Paint and PaintTool SAI 2 (both using a Huion Kamvas Pro 16); regular bic ballpoint pens, and cheap colored rainbow pencil (on common sketchbook paper, nothing fancy) 2026 is literally my 20th year of digital art alone ✌️

Digital art in colors, mimicking some traditional textures of pencil/paint on paper - waist up of the commissioner's OC (EliosRose Crotato on VGen). It depicts a young ethereal lady with light blue skin and long white hair. She's dressed in billowy robes in shades of dark blue and silvery embroideries, and fingerless black sleeves. Her hair is white but it has a rainbow-like shimmer and highlights. She's looking at us with a soft smile, one of her hands up, a star-shaped crystal glowing above it in colorful lights. The background is a starry sky.

My depiction of Xena, Warrior Princess and her mare Argo. In my version, Xena still has bright, light blue eyes and straight, chest-length black hair, but she's a lot more muscular, she has a darker/tanner skin tone crossed with all sorts of battle scars and one across her neck, and she's wearing an armor heavily inspired by Macedonian / Alexander The Great type of armor. She's looking off-frame, with a serious, thoughtful, distant expression. Across her waist, she has a Bulgarian-inspired traditional coins. She's standing in a golden wheat field, holding a xiphos sword with one hand, and the other resting on the muzzle of her mare, Argo; Argo is a palomino horse (golden coat, white, curly mane), and is behind Xena, resting her head against Xena's shoulder. The painting is digital, but style and composition and mimicking traditional oil paintings (Bouguereau, especially)

Black and pink ballpointpen sketches on paper. Sketchpage including various drawings of my OC Persie, as an adult and as a kid. She's mixed race (black/indigenous), is fat and has long, wavy-curly hair. She has vitiligo, which affects her body and the front portion of her hair. In one of the drawings, she's holding the hand of my other OC Jupiter as still a kid

Two busts in colors, done with colored pencils / rainbow pencil on my sketchbook. Both busts depicts my OC Yanni, a mid/late thirties butch woman with a "shag-mullet" sort of haircut, facial piercings (snakebites, nose ring ear reamer, brow ring), and wearing a button up shirt+tie and round glasses. On the left, she's looking at the viewer over her glasses with an contained angry expression and on the right, she's looking at the viewer with a serious expression.

🩸Lion's Keeper is now available to download!🩸 My original BL comic set in Malaysia is now available for purchase on ko-fi! A PDF of 66 pages in monochrome, with some sketches and process write ups at the end. Find it here: ko-fi.com/s/b11114b33b

An image showcasing the cover for Lion's Keeper.

The summary of the comic: When Rui is turned into a vampire, his best friend and partner Yi helps him hunt down people to steal their humanity. Through this, Rui exchanges vampiric traits for brief normalcy, able to live as a human once more. Unfortunately, the two are in discord in their codependency, and years of miscommunication have consequences.

I've had to unfriend a few fans lately, all for the same reason. They made ridiculing, unkind, and in some cases outright cruel comments about pictures I posted of young women cosplaying Jessica.
More than a person, Jessica is a state of mind. To play Jessica, you need self -confidence, a sense of humor, and a Jessican -attitude-. There is no such thing as a Jessica cosplayer being too short, too flat chested, too heavy, too thin, too unattractive, too black, too Asian, or even too male!!! All Jessica, any Jessica, every Jessica is good Jessica.
I'm not giving any warnings or second chances. A single disparaging comment on a Jessica cosplayer, and I'm throwing you out of the rainbow colored Toontown Tent.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
