Finding out the BBC was airing an actual Minstrel Show until 1978 should surprise me. It doesn't but it should.

The most fascinating modern trend is kids realizing the internet is actually incredibly inconvenient

I'm genuinely just tired. I don't want to say I'm tired of being alive but it very much feels that way.

Me: I have a lot of issues putting effort into anything because I do a lot of work for people but it never seems to be reciprocated. Like people are always telling me my only point is to work for them. Therapist: Have you tried volunteer work? Me: Are you awake?!

Apparently Phillys academy or natural sciences is closing. I would have rather died than see that place close. It inspired a lifelong love of biology in me. It is one of the few places in my childhood that made me feel less alone. I don't have the words.

You know the thing you do, and every time you do it you think "This time, this time I'll do it and I won't get overwhelmed and upset." and then you get overwhelmed and upset. For me it's Voice Acting. I want to do it so bad but it's so hard to figure out how.

Hollywood I don't know who needs to hear this but I have been fed the warmed over leavings of the 80s since my infancy. I beg you to pick a different decade to steal and remake whole cloth. I'm beyond tired of synth of wood paneling.

I go through these periods where I just feel.... Intensely separate. I don't live in a place with a lot of queer people and those around here don't seem interested in me for anything more than a quick fuck. I don't have time to travel much. I just feel just gross and isolated. Hate it. #Voidshouting

This is going back a ways but I'm old. Heavy Rain. When it was released every game rag on earth was begging to suck it off about how innovative it was. I play and it's a laughably poorly acted sub par mystery with horrendous controls.

Void shout time: adopted brother of mine just stopped talking to me in 2022. A year before my bio big brother died. I don't know why. No one does. Found out through Scruff that his husband died. We could have been comforting each other but no. As usual people vanish when I need them.

Why are filmmakers terrified of Mediterranean people? Like I cannot stress enough how removing Mediterranean people entirely from the Odyssey, a story where the Mediterranean plays a humongous role, removes anything approaching suspension of disbelief. I will never be over Athena in a white sheet

Yetti Crowe @lycancanis.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Nolans Odyssey is as bad as I feared but I never thought it would be this ugly. It's fucking hideous. Brown when it's not misty Grey. The costuming is BAD. I'll give them originality points no one ever made Athena and put her in a white sheet. Bet Zendaya could have looked pretty cool in some armor

Executives say unhinged things because they serve an unhinged system that promises impossibly unhinged results. You can’t propagate a fantasy as ridiculous as infinite profits and eternal company growth without your words eventually detaching from reality. Capitalism’s a mass delusion.

Buy indie games, buy self-published games. Stop buying from all those companies laying off/not caring about players

Genuinely confused about why people still buy triple A games. Paying 80 to 100 dollars to get 25 percent of what you would get 15 years ago, sounds like mark behavior to me.

I think my favorite Cornette quote is "People usually find God when no one else wants to speak to them." And finally I see why Christianity attracts so many assholes. Forgiveness without accountability in this is just cosigning bad behavior.

Anybody wondering about Sony doing new dumb shit. We've reached the end of a 20 year arms race. There is no more tech to slap in. No fancy new graphic quality, no 3d or vr, and they are panicking. They need to cut costs yesterday.

I think about this comic all the time.

Comic by drawer of drawings on Instagram. A detective stands in a kitchen that looks like it's splattered with blood. The detective says, mother of god. Nothing human could have done this. In the bottom panel it says, earlier. And there is a dog uneasily holding a ketchup bottle with its paws trying to put ketchup on a hamburger.

It can't just be me. Search engines have gotten nearly unusable. I can't find things I found instantly only a couple years ago. The results I get have almost nothing to do with the booleans and keywords I'm using. And I'm older than Google so Ive seen it at its peak and boy howdy is this not peak
