#TaiwanArchives: 1873 Crosses mark where the English Presbyterian missionaries, first planted in 1865, work in the south and center of the island, and where the Canadian Presbyterians are up north. The west, in yellow, is inhabited by Chinese migrants. The east, in green, is Indigenous territory.

La bataille de Kinmen qui vit la première défaite historique des troupes de Mao fin octobre 1949 en milieu insulaire occupe une place de choix au sanctuaire des martyrs révolutionnaires de Taipei. Pour Taiwan, ce fut la victoire qui sauva l’île d’une invasion communiste.
