So how is it that Indian-Americans like Harmeet, Dinesh, and Usha are "assimilated" while these college kids are not? Usha is still a practicing Hindu, which assumes a type of non-assimilation (taking the racists' meaning), but the real criteria for assimilation is deference to white supremacy.

Really simple here: why are there two Dakotas instead of one? Because there was no constraint on Congress as to how many states it could form out of the land mass that constituted the Dakota Territory. They should have only made one, but they were able to make 2, 3, or 500 states if they so chose.

The "raising taxes without indexing them to market forces" is obviously a swipe at land taxes, but it's just common sense that the more one hoards land value in the form of living in a single family home on valuable close-in land, it deprives other poor & fixed income people of access to said land.

LVT is about fixing incentives to reward, not punish builders. "If the region's jurisdictions taxed land more so than improvements to it, denser and more walkable neighborhood development would be more lucrative than surface parking, vacant lots, and sparse development."

This is one of the great things about being a Georgist: since we categorically reject the notion that people can be walled off from land as part of our foundational ideology, we really don't have to worry about whether we "like" someone or not... they are due their common right to land, period!
