The Tiger's Shadow has stalked Kamigawa for centuries. Any child could tell you the story: The Tiger's Shadow protects whatever the Emperor's light cannot reach.
Yuriko grew up hearing this story. On her roughest nights as an orphan on the streets of Towashi, it brought her comfort to imagine someone was watching over her. When a brash Imperial guard lashed out at Yuriko's girlfriend, she realized that she had to become that hero herself. Yuriko strangled him in the dark, and her girlfriend forged the famous tiger claws soon after.
Years as a smuggler taught her cunning, acrobatics, and ruthlessness. Martial arts were easy by comparison. Guided by the principle that even those in the shadows should have allies, Yuriko stalks all of Towashi-even the palace.
