They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

“Let’s say there’s a world or time line I exist in where A.I. has been subject to regulation. It is ethical. It has no footprint environmentally,” the novelist Jeff VanderMeer, a prominent critic of A.I., told me over the phone. “With those guardrails in place, would I read an A.I. book? All I can say is no. And the reason is, in part, because I want to read something coming from a particular mind.” Using A.I., he said, “feels like a betrayal of the whole point of why you’re a writer.”

Dear Friends, Everyone on Sodor's had an accident and it can make them insecure. Gordon felt this the most and it didnt help that the others teased him. Thomas takes it too far and leads to the two rekindling a dying friendship. Sincerely, The Author docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Dear Friends, Our Mavis adores shunting and when she was given the chance to work at Knapford in Percy's stead, she took it! However, strange things begin and Mavis finds that things arent always what they seem. Sincerely, The Author docs.google.com/document/d/1...

The post train is one of the most important trains, it must get through, regardless of weather. Percy normally took it but sometimes when there was too much for him to handle Thomas would be called upon to help. Normally he didn't mind but he hated running at night in the mist. #ttte #trainz

Hello hello hello! Thought I’d give a quick update to let you all know I am still here, just quietly at work on things in the background! I have lots of stories to share, but they’re part of larger narratives that need to be finished. I’ll hopefully have some substantial things to share soon!

This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.

"defund the police" was so obviously correct. I really don't care if it doesn't poll well. it's like telling me that I should stop saying I like vaccines if they stopped polling well.
