Fyi - Cornell rape culture has been a Thing for so long that the key chapter of my 1st novel, “What She Saw….,”—published in 2000—-was inspired by a notorious late-‘80s frat house rape there. In real life, the case made it to a grand jury but no further. In my book I called him “Spitty Clark.”

There's nothing private equity doesn't ruin. Dental practice now trying to upsell unnecessary deep cleanings; vet pushing pointless EKGs; yoga studio charging for extra months even after you cancel membership. Once p.e. takes over, it's all about maximizing profit. Patients/clients always come last.

If they can do to one, they will do & try to make all states the same. We did not punish the losers in the civil war harsh enough. The GOP needs to be thrown out, destroyed, & never allowed to gain any seats, ever again. They & MAGA are a stain on this country, which may never survive from.

I say without hyperbole that this is the most brazenly corrupt action in US Presidential history. That it does not immediately lead to impeachment is a dangerous sign of how far the rule of law has declined.

What's going on at the New York Times? Barely any coverage of the daily carnage in Gaza; racist hit job on Mamdani; Cuomo semi-endorsement; and triumphalist Iran-has-been-vanquished b.s. Has the paper of record decided that the way to beat Trump is to move to the center-right? Gross.

Jeff Goldberg may be the hero the hour, but the Atlantic—with their hysterical articles about the supposed scourge of left wing antisemitism on elite campuses—has a lot to answer for in terms of having manufactured a pretext for Trump’s crackdown on higher ed and now Gestapo-style "disappearances."

With its hysterical coverage about the so-called "antisemitism" epidemic on elite campuses--in fact, the vast majority of Gaza protests this past year were peaceful encampments--the Atlantic mag played a significant role in manufacturing the pretext for Trump's attempted destruction of higher ed.

Every child’s death is a terrible tragedy. But so many folks on social media expressing broken hearts over the Israeli Bibas boys today have been silent regarding the 14,500 children killed in Gaza since Oct '23. The message seems to be that only some lives have value. (How depressing.)

among the saddest stories of the 20th/early 21st centuries is how European Jewry, nearly obliterated in one of the worst crimes ever committed against humanity (aka the Holocaust), came back and formed a fascist state of their own, intent on ethnically cleansing another racial group from their land.
