In 2010 I spent the world cup final watching a movie, alienated by Spanish nationalism. 16 years later, I went out with my family to celebrate in the streets of Lavapiés, the most mixed-nation spot in Madrid. It was beautiful to see so many different people wrapping the Spanish flag with love.

The National Science Foundation is the main source of funding for basic sciences in the US. For decades, they have supported a scientific R&D ecosystem in the US that has been an engine of economic growth and competitive advantage. Destroying the agency is no less than an act of sabotage.

I've found I am glad Claude Code has usage limits because it forces me to actually do proper work when I am approaching the limit. First 75% used in lazy playing around, last 25% used in me working with some AI help here and there for coding doubts.

Once I overcome my complicated set of emotions, I have a very humbling story to tell about how Claude Code gave me the wrong results and sent me down a rabbit hole where, among other things, I considered whether I should quite academia 🫠. Today is not that day, though. Too soon.
