MILLENNIUM ANTHEM LORE SUMMARY
(mostly compiled from my disorganized thoughts and notes written on Obsidian, it's a subject to change and may be a bit too complicated at first but I promise it'll be easier if I just show it like this to you...)

"The First Sounds"
- primordial deities and progenitors to song-bound people (aka the song gijinkas) as a whole
- not exactly created the world, but helped giving life to it from when it was a barren grey wasteland*
- does not have a physical form, but is said to be comprised of "otherworldly rhythms" (i.e bits of music from our world) that altogether becomes incoprehensible to the (regular) human ear
-pictured above is a mere "artistic interpretation" and many continents do have varying depictions of them
(*and somehow 60% of it still ends up being barren but don't worry about it)

splits into
"Pristine Sounds"
larger portions and fragments of The First Sounds that eventually form a real and tangible song-bound vessel of their own (kind of like how the Olympians are to the Titans in Greek mythology). Also considered as major deities in their respective continents simillar to the Kami in Shintoism.

splits again into
"Pristine Copies"
Song-bound people whose soul are partial copies (or have compnents) of a Pristine Soul's. Reserved to some interconnected "boss songs" from certain rhythm games (bonus points if they're part of a song series).

There are 2 types of souls that are present in the MILLENNIUM ANTHEM universe:
"Mortal Soul"
which are just souls of non-song-bound beings (i.e normal people)
And "Musical Souls"
which are smaller fragments of The First Sounds and the "life source" for all song-bound people
(and are sometimes "recycled" from Mortal Souls)

"Pristine Sounds" and "Pristine Copies" are both adjacent to:
"Song-Bound People"
- Basically the catch-all term for every humanoid being that possess at least one musical soul in their body (see below)
- ANY sapient/artificial/supernatural/mythical being can become a "vessel" (or vessels, plural) to a specific musical soul anytime and adapt a new appearance and magical abilities relating to their "source song" to how they see fit
- Technically immortal (and at times even godlike), but can still be "killed" through other ways, which may result in their current vessel dissolving into dust and the soul having too seek another vessel before they become forgotten
- can even form a "song series" if their souls' source songs share the same characteristics with each other (doesn't have to be Pristine Copies)
- Their soul also acts as their heartbeat, with its BPM matching the tempo of the song they're based on (those with ever-changing and/or fast (over 200) BPMs might struggle with it at first, especially to song-bound humans)

"Song-Bound Humans"
- Humans that are also song-bound, duh. (normal, non-song bound ones are called regular humans or just Regulars)
- Their abilities are often activated "on-and-off" sometimes with the help of additional armor/gear or like a lightswitch, while other times... not so much
- Most of them would still look human per se, albeit with a few inhuman features or two (e.g. Suuhaa 2000 having mist for his hair). Though, some instances of their awakenings of becoming a song-bound could lead them turning into an entirely different species (or even at least half of it)

how a Song-Bound Person's abilities are activated and manifested through themselves differs depending on the region/continent(/game) they reside in/originated from. Take for example:
- in Taikomachi (based on Taiko no Tatsujin, main setting of Core MILLENNIUM ANTHEM), the soul(s) in nearly every song-bound people "burns" by going through the process of "amplification" (or a "Go-Go Time" if you will) - i.e. driven by enough force, passion, and strong emotions for their powers to be properly activated
- meanwhile, in Groovetropolis (based on Groove Coaster, main setting for Groove infested.), the powers are activated through channeling and manipulating Groove (basically "auras" of supernatural soundwaves that can only be heard and appear as "special markings" in resident song-bound people of Groovetropolis) oftentimes with the assistance of the Booster gear and "vibrato-magnetic" technology
- etc, etc...
(I'll think more about it for the other known locations eventually)

Aside from A LOT of the stuffs within the continents/source games/gijinkas themselves this is just one of those stories where you probably don't have to overthink too much on the worldbuilding I promise 👍 half of it is just me making it up on thin air and it probably won't make sense anyways
