Just going to leave this here. I wrote in 2023.

But I must note my reservations about the use of AI in the creative
industry more generally, given what we have seen with other generative
AI tools and how they are being developed and applied.
I am an engineer, and I always will be, so making tools to achieve
objectives is a fundamental part of my DNA. As it is for all of humanity.
My optimism in science and technology as boxes for tools to make a
better world remains high. My dream for AI is one of enablement. As
tools to do the things humans shouldn’t do, or don’t want to do or simply
can’t do. As a tool for external human cognition and the expansion of
human potential. Not mimicry. Not theft. Not replacement. Not commodiöcation of things that bring joy and meaning to our lives like creativity.

Also Weird Dream Report had to wait until I made what I saw, but: I dreamt I was at a lit festival and once again (!!) saw books with my name clearly on them that I don't remember having written. In this case: a trilogy of thick hardbacks with light, silvery covers and shapes on each like this:

i think about form size a lot, bouncing between epic fantasy series and standalones, short stories, and novellas. generally, i’m pretty disinterested in the categories themselves, but i’m interested in using the space well, to best effect. so how do you write a good story at any length?

This is great advice for anyone! Your job is your job, it is not who you are. IME this becomes an important distinction when you are suddenly laid off too, your life has been disrupted but it has not literally destroyed who you are. It also makes it easier to advocate for yourself in your job.
