It's kind of amazing how the Army trying to electrify more of its vehicles is seen as some sort of woke DoD agenda and not what it really is: attempts at massive cost and maintenance saving with the added benefit of stealth (reduced noise & IR signature) in the battlefield.

The determination of whether or not an order is lawful is, by definition, a government employee interpreting the law. This EO says it is *literally illegal* for service members to refuse unlawful orders, because only the President and AG can define what's lawful.

Well, "employee" is defined using the definition in 5 USC 2015. Which specifies that uniformed military members are "employees."

Except from Executive Order, stating that "For the purposes of this order, the term 'employees' shall have the meaning given that term in Section 2015 of Title 5, United States Code."

So, something that slipped under the radar in recent news of Trump's "I am the Law" EO, and it is by far the worst possible part. Sec 7 says that no federal employee may contravene, in an official capacity, the President or AG's interpretation of the law. Who are "employees?"
