The European Union stated on Tuesday that the presence of Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at the G20 meeting organized by the U.S. is inappropriate, asserting that it is not the time to normalize relations with Russia.European Commissioner for Economy, Valdis Dombrovskis, emphasized that discussions with representatives of a regime that is waging war and killing civilians are difficult. This statement was made in the context of Siluanov participating in discussions with American officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, provoking the exasperation of the European Union, which supports Ukraine.Additionally, the European bloc managed to secure Siluanov's exclusion from the traditional family photo of finance ministers. Dombrovskis mentioned that he called on his colleagues to increase financial aid to Ukraine, in light of the current situation.
