I have honestly never encountered worse taxis and taxi companies than in Lanzarote. Just spent an hour waiting for a booked taxi to show.He arrived seven minutes early, beeped once, waited twenty seconds and left. Rang the company twice, useless. A full hour later, managed to book a different taxi.

Generational divide on trying to buy a house in Ireland. Myself and hubby (in 30s and 40s) bought what we consider to be our forever home over a year ago. Stretched ourselves to the max we were comfortable with. Just had a neighbour refer to it as “a good starter house”. Those days are gone.
