What I find hilarious about Zohran Mamdani is that he is essentially just bringing rural Irish parish politics to the big city. He's quite literally fixing the road. And I get it now! If I could I'd vote for him forever! He'll never get to as many local funerals as the bauld Willie O'Dea, though.

The sign that my baba is over her cough is this morning she pissed the bed 😅 Her morning nappies have been light recently despite the amount of nursing and water drinking she's been doing. Some little bug was churning and burning up all her reserves. But now, she's pissing to beat the band again!

This is exactly correct. Regardless of one's prima facie views on nuclear, it is a ridiculous suggestion for Ireland. Decades before it generates power, decades more before it justifies the cost, and a massive opportunity cost versus investing in rapidly improving renewable generation and storage.

Since having a baby, I've learned a lot of new science. Like the minimum amount of sleep a human needs, and how to get less than that. Laughter is the best medicine if it's from a baby. Germs only exist for as long as you remember them.

9 panels on our roof in Dublin covered 89% of our electricity usage last year. And that's with a bunch of inefficiencies in our system such as still using an electric shower. Also we were home with a baby near full time for half the year.
