I’m standing in the opticians and my response was very nearly a loud “Oh n- *ahem*”. That is, in my head, “Oh no!” 😬

Pretty sure my first reaction to his Simpsons episode in the late 90s was “oh, that’s nice they got him to play himself!” And I’d definitely watched Batman! 😂👍 (just, y’know, one the best VAs in the business)

An immediate download for me (will listen tomorrow on my morning walk to the park/coffee). Clearly need to go back to current NADDPOD because I *should* have known about this. What a lovely idea for a D&D podcast! 🤩👍

The ‘roman-‘ part of romantasy is not really my thing, but good grief I’ll have to visit for those names *alone*. (Also, a romantasy dedicated bookshop, just cool to know it exists!)

I’m disappointed, A24, show some bloody backbone! *This* kind of thing is why I’m wary of AI in any capacity - it’s gutting human creativity in the name of quote-unquote “content”.

Saw a post about Chrono Trigger so browsed second-hand prices for the DS version. £85 on CEX I’d expect, but EBay is similar…. I recognise it’s a classic, I don’t expect games for free, but…nope 😬😂 One day I’ll play it!

Chaotic Evil: D&D’s Assault on the Female Body

Catch it. Put it in a pumpkin, in a high tower, in a compound, in a chamber, in a house, in a room. Quick, stick a leash on it, a lock, a chain, some pain, settle it down, so it can never get away…

#TheBride was absolutely bloody wild and I loved it. The desperation, the intensity, the ‘monsters’ choosing to live by raging against a system as much as rampant violence… Shelley enabling a ‘revolution’ for her own amusement and leaving the remains behind to be ‘reinvigorated’…

All my DQ9 NPC ‘guys’ had their own stories to some extent - IIRC the priest was a former thief, the monk a woman who left a monastery to be a fighter, the mage had escaped a cult…. And the fallen angel PC, of course, purple pixie haircut and all. Loved that game 🤩👍

Playing them back-to-back it is striking just how similar Tales of Symphonia is to Vesperia. I was expecting similar stories in a broad sense not….specifics! 😂That said, I am enjoying Symphonia in its own right, though at times I wish Collette got more development outside of ‘Chosen’ and ‘Lloyd’.

I watched Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. I thought it was a fantastic adaptation, beautiful visually, and emphasising Victor’s own monstrosity in the face of the “someone” he created and would not accept. Didn’t like some of the choices but the heart of the novel was there for me. Great watch!🤩
