Supper Mario Broth @mariobrothblog.bsky.social · 8h

In the Nintendo Switch Online version of Mario Party 3, Daisy's happy winning expression was changed to a more serene or confident one. This is the only expression that was changed. It is unknown if this is a glitch or if the developers believed it to better express her personality.

Winning on Nintendo 64: happy face
Winning on Nintendo Switch Online: face with closed eyes and very subtle smile

Given we’re getting a Lilo & Stitch short in front of Hexed, which in itself is said to have a full 2D Prologue, methinks the seeds are being sown.

And even beyond Mario, villainizing him in regards to Nintendo isn’t justified either since the dude doesn’t have much control over the company and game development since 2015. He’s not responsible for Nintendo’s issues as a company like many think.

LoudToon @loudtoon99.bsky.social · 6h

It’s fine to disagree with him on if Mario should have bigger focus on storytelling and character development (namely in RPGs, the Galaxy games, and the Illumination movies), but that doesn’t justify treating him on the same level as actual genuinely terrible people in the gaming industry over it.

It’s just going way too far, especially in regards to his beliefs on what he prefers Mario to be. Don’t get me wrong, Miyamoto is not a perfect man. At the same time, I believe what he prefers in Mario is valid since it is *his* creation.

a doodle of house lamine, consisting of:
esmeralda wearing a t-shirt that reads “MILF: MAN I LOVE FISHING!”
dietrich wearing a t-shirt that reads: “MILF: MAN I LOVE FIGHTING!”
mikaela wearing a t-shirt that reads: “MILF: JUST THE NORMAL KIND ACTUALLY”

esmeralda has a speech bubble saying, “C’mon, Fabio! Don’t you want to match the team?”
fabio, in the foreground, looks distressed while saying “Most assuredly not.”

the reason there's so many bad sequels is because... good movies are already hard enough on their own to make. for every JAWS out there there's like 10 foodfights. Then sequels add MORE pressure with a standard to live up to...

Reminder 2 and 3 were at one point going to be direct to DVD like most Disney sequels at the time. 2 was gonna be that before Pixar believed their work is better than that, and 3 initially was part of Cricle 7 before Pixar had the chance to make a proper Toy Story 3.

Hot take: all the sequels to Toy Story were technically unessecary. Toy Story didn't NEED a sequel. 2 and 3 were just SO good they retroactively convinced you it did.

Very specific Mario related thought. I am convinced that if Nintendo was still as wacky with their Mario Sports games as they were in the Gamecube + Wii era, they would have absolutely added Glydon from Odyssey as a playable character. He'd be made a regular to this day the way they did with Nabbit.
