The main villain in V'rhaka's story is also her idol, Rhaka Greave. One of Mhach's very first black mages, and the Warrior of Light in her era. V'rhaka learned her story and admired her so much she even took on her name. Then she met Rhaka's ghost, and learned that some stories should stay buried.

V'rhaka's... a lot, in a short phrase. She doesn't really "turn off" the Black Mage Extraordinaire persona except around the people she holds closest. So i think she's very "if you like her, you REALLY like being around her; if you don't you can't stand her."
