Trying to get used to hand wraps. This was attempt #3 on my left hand. Have yet to try on my right, and since I'm not a southpaw, I'm expecting even worse results.
My left hand, in desperate need of a manicure, overtaken by a purple hand wrap in chaotic mummy style.

Still not sure if it reads as a dirt road, but I filled it in some, & tamped it down to the board. I also added a Model T in front of the store to make it look more like a road (there's turf & weeds to come that should help), I also positioned the Gossip Tree ready to add people #modeltrains #nscale
An aerial-ish view of my 30" x 30" "Piedmont Junction" model railroad layout showing the messy "dirt road coming from the south edge and disappearing off the east edge.A slightly more close up view of the general store, the Model T, the custom dogwood tree, and the "Gossip Tree" oak in the Piedmont Junction layout.

I know it technically isn't, but Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde could be seen as a Werewolf novel from that time period, depending on how bestial the Hyde persona feels.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatchee? I survived the end of the DTV Hellraiser era with Pinhead's non-union Mexican equivalent, which wasn't the franchise nadir, followed by a triumphant reboot, and kept in a Clive Barker space to finish.
My Letterboxd Recent Activity showing the last four movies I watched - Hellraiser: Revelations (2011), Hellraiser: Judgment (2018), Hellraiser (2022), and Candyman (1992)

Yeah, Hitchcock doesn't really become Hitchcock until his version of "The 39 steps" 4 years later. I suppose you could argue for the original b&w "The Man Who Knew Too Much" but his own remake is superior.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? Demons to some. Angels to others. I spent a week in literal DTV Hell. Firmly in the era of "cheap spec scripts, just add Cenobites!" A couple of these were pretty decent, and then there's Hellworld... Next batch doesn't even have Doug Bradley.
My Letterboxd Recent Activity showing the last four movies I watched:- Hellraiser: Inferno (2000), Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002), Hellraiser: Deader (2005), and Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005).

Definitely finishing with the 2022 remake. I've seen the first four a few times, and the first two a whole lot, but none of the direct to video sequels, so I'm going to experience V through X (XI?) for the first time. I'm expecting 2022 to be a breath of fresh air after that.

1001 albums #72: I like them better when they were singing about the main geezer.
Album cover art for En-Tact by The ShamenWhile I do like the later more straightforward rave version of The Shamen as prefigured by "Move Any Mountain" here, I don't think they're a particularly essential band. I guess an argument can be made that they mainstreamed House music in the UK, but if you want to include House in your list of albums to hear before you die, I think several performers of colour based around Chicago have a much better claim than a bunch of white guys from Scotland. - 3 stars

1001 albums #71: Didn't realize that I'd taken such a long hiatus from posting these, so expect a massive flood of nonsense starting with some New Wave also rans.
Album cover art for Pelican West by Haircut One HundredDefinitely another album that's far from essential to hear before I die. Haircut 100 were very much also rans in the New Romantic era when they were a going concern, and that's what this sounds like.

Do you want Duran Duran B-sides with a slightly funkier vibe? This is the album for you! - 2 stars

Alan Moore & Melinda Gebbie's "This is Information" from the 2002 9/11 Tribute Anthology comic is one of my favorite comics ever – its metaphorical approach to narrative had a profound influence on my comics making. I share bits of it in class frequently, but worth revisiting on this day...

I need the most Irish anti-Trump sign you have No that's too Irish
A protestor holds up a sign showing Donald Trump bent over getting kicked in the bum / arse by a priest. The scene is taken from the Father Ted episode where Ted kicks Bishop Brennan in a similar manner.

Caption on sign reads "slán leat" which Google informs me is Irish for "goodbye for now".A protestor holds up a sign showing Donald Trump bent over getting kicked in the bum / arse by a priest. The scene is taken from the Father Ted episode where Ted kicks Bishop Brennan in a similar manner.

Haven't brought food to my Sunday D&D group in a while, so thought I'd push the boat out a little bit: Slow Cooker Chicken Shawarma, Greek Lemon Cauliflower Pilaf, Marinaded Sumac Red Onions, Lemon Tahini Sauce, and feta and pitas to assemble their own...
My Dungeons and Dragons food spread, a large crock pot of sliced chicken shawarma, and a small crock pot of lemon cauliflower "rice" pilaf, between them are two mason jars, a larger one containing sumac marinaded red onion, and a smaller one containing lemon tahini sauce. In front is a sealed tub of feta cheese crumbles, and a sealed bag of white Greek style pita bread.

Well, to turn it into an actual layout, I need to add dirt. Enter ½" thick insulation foam board, matte interior house paint, and premium wood glue to paint the first layer. The second layer of just paint goes on tomorrow night after this dries.
