I've seen police pull protestors out of their mobility devices and I've gone home from protest with bruises on my chest from getting shoved. I've had a cop go from "I'm trying to treat you like a person" to yelling "do you want to get arrested" at me in under 5 minutes. I'm not worried about tweets

When I used to take the bus to work, I would only have to wait 3-5 minutes for my transfer. Whereas now I'm waiting 13-15 minutes. I'm still leaving at the same time and taking the same buses. It's really frustrating re: my ability to commute

One time I had a conversation w/someone about social safety nets&they said something like "well there has to be a limit at some point" re: housing and healthcare. I was so flabbergasted at the banality of the statement I said "I guess the limit is how many people you're okay with dying."

I think the thing people don't understand about being categorically short is: there's a plethora of people who are taller than you and people will assume that you're easy to intimidate. This is actually the inverse. I am short and therefore your height cannot scare me.

Camp sweeps won't solve the housing crisis. It only increases the danger for homeless people. There needs to be multiple policies put into place to minimize homelessness. We need to meet the needs of the current issue while also ensuring strong preventative measures.
