As a quick side project, I did these Warriors of the Dead Why? Because the only primer I still had was green, and these were the only ones I felt like painting that wanted that primer. However, it seems I can't get away from undead, no matter the system. #mesbg #warhammercommunity

Twelve Warriors of the Dead. Undercoated with Death Guard, then a very thinned down wash of Caliban Green. Then I've given them a highlight of Lothern Blue. The weapons, helms and armour got another highlight of Wraithbone, in an effort to make them pop more

#hobbystreak day 935 More ogryn progress, still have leathers to go, and all the black areas need camo patterns. Then it's last details and hair to finish. With the points changes this unit has made it straight into my list, I'll now be taking 2 heavy bolter chimeras full of chunky lads!

It took some time, but here's the Riders of Wrath; Hexwraiths made from the souls of those who wished for magical power as they were burned alive by witch hunters. Almost done with the ghostly detachment, only need to add the leader. 458/500 #warhammer #theoldworld #warhammercommunity

A unit of five Hexwraith models, converted from Dreadblade Hallows, with their swords replaced by scythes from Grimghast Reapers. The mounts are painted to resemble skull-faced horses, tapering off in red and yellow flames.
The riders are painted as spirits of fire, also tapering off, but they wear black cloaks with red trim, to denote the fact they hold on to some aspects of their previous personality.

Side-shot of one of the models to show the details more.
Painting this was an absolute pain, and the goal I had in mind is far above my (current) skill level, but this is as good as I can get it.

So, I applied paint to models again. These bat swarms are sourced from Cursed City, High Falconer Felgryn's pet and Soulblight Manifestations. I foresee more swarms in the near future. #warhammer #theoldworld #warhammercommunity

Quickly finished the other unit of archers. The quality's not great, but I wanted them over and done with and to be able to say I painted a 500 point force in a month. Of course, the force still needs to be based and have heraldry applied. 495/500 #warhammer #theoldworld #warhammercommunity

Ten archers in two rows hiding behind a row of sharpened stakes. The stakes have chains strung between them to provide additional impediment. Compared to the other unit of archers, these are much paler as a result of starting from a white primer instead of a black one, so as to let the paint markers do their job better.

Knight of the Realm holding a hunting falcon instead of a lance. His heraldry is blue on yellow, and he has additional pouches on his horse filled with birds's he's hunted. At his feet there is a lean hunting dog. However, as they say in Bretonnia: Un chasseur sachant chasser sait chasser sans son chien de chasse.

Other side of the same model. This shows the dog in more detail, and also shows that the baron is carrying his next meal in the form of pigeon and garlic.
