My instinct is to think it’s intended to mean “movies we like the least,” the bottom of the barrel, but I agree it’s confusingly phrased and I’m not completely sure.

Not entirely sure if these fit the brief but here are some resources you could look into: Wonderfully Wired Brains by Louise Gooding, multiple books by Niamh Garvey, Young, Autistic and ADHD by Sarah Boon, @jadefarrington.bsky.social @autisticrealms.bsky.social, Impact Parents, Sharon Saline

Same problem and same problem with Target 🫡 Primary has raincoats. They are pricey and I haven’t tried them so can’t speak to their reliability, but I do like to support Primary. Patagonia sells worn gear but it’s often still $$$, but worth checking out?

Thinking about muting “ADHD” because as a late-diagnosed adult, all of this discourse on how people still don’t want to think ADHD is real is extremely stressful

He also has this extremely calm demeanor up until he is disturbed that I think has a lot of narrative power. Watching him build relationships with other people is interesting all on its own - you can tell some people like him despite themselves, or want to explain things to him

Yes, and so do several others in my family (3 generations, 4 or more of us). This was actually the first thing that made me consider whether I might have ADHD. I am autistic and ADHD - as far as I know, left-right confusion is associated with dyscalculia

Sure, stimulation can have that effect. I have ADHD and I’m very sensitive to caffeine. It’s a separate gene/trait that interacts with a whole system

Zoë @lonewitchwalking.bsky.social · 28/07/2026
Coffee processing is a specific gene, CYP1A2. I’m not sure coffee makes anyone sleepy, but some people metabolize it a lot more quickly than others. Slow metabolizers feel a lot more of the effects.

A letter from the mother of Alex Pretti, six months after he was murdered by ICE.
suzpretti

Today marks the six-month anniversary of Alex's murder. No one has been held accountable, no apologies, not a single phone call from any governmental official, hospital personnel, or the mpls police dept. Six-months of pain, a roller-coaster of trauma over and over. Every time another a death, another mention, a picture, a tribute, a sorrow so deep. I wonder how to move forward. Will I ever get over this loss and this pain?
Will I ever be able to enjoy life again? How does one live knowing that I have no power to change what has happened?

And yet the outreach not only from Minnesota, but from around the world has been nothing less than spectacular. Every card, every gift, every heartfelt letter has been read, touched, held, and cherished by us all. The kindness you've all shown us is beyond words. Please never forget Alex and what he believed in ~ equality and peace for all. I will remember the things that made you, you. It will never take your memory. As long as I'm here, you will never be forgotten.

For all you asking what you can do. Continue this fight. Never give up your right to speak out, protect your neighbor, your community and don't forget to spend time with those you love...

Over 800 wildfires are burning across Canada right now. Canada also holds more than a quarter of the world's boreal forest and is warming at twice the global average rate. The smoke is the part getting attention. Here is everything else. 🧵

For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚
A drawing of Elizabeth Bennet, a lovely young woman with her long hair tied up nearly under a ribbon and wearing what is most likely a neo-classically inspired dress, looking pensive, two letters in her hand. Meanwhile Darcy, a handsome but stern-looking fellow, looks longingly at her. Also there is me, a little gremlin in big round glasses, skulking about in the background and hoping that they kiss.

The accompanying text reads “Trung reads Pride and Prejudice for the first time, somehow.”

I am very sensitive to caffeine. I can become jittery and shaky and it also seems to make my blood sugar drop later in the day. I do really like coffee but I only drink decaf now. One of my parents seems sensitive to it and one isn’t. My partner seemingly has a more standard/neutral reaction to it

I mean, dual diagnosis wasn’t even possible until they changed the DSM in 2013. Lots of folks were evaluated and not diagnosed, as far back as you can go and then all the way through the 2010s. Even now, I believe.

I don’t think knowledgeable people are worried. I do think the erosion of “the public’s trust” is on display right now, and people who always want to exploit things for attention are doing so. And it’s an opportunity to talk about public health vulnerabilities and people are doing that too.

Zoë @lonewitchwalking.bsky.social · 08/05/2026
I agree with you. He does obviously think it’s okay for vulnerable people to die. That’s what “let it rip” means! This argument that someone was going to die anyway is so transparently evil every time it’s used throughout history. He has no new ideas
