Hit 'em with the one-two Pooltoy Combo

a large inflated version of Axer as a pooltoy floats in the water. the background denotes he is in the pool rooms and the hose of an air tank circles him firing air. bubbles surround his feet along the tiled floor. the text "pool rooms vol. 7" is at the top right of the frame. Image is greyscale with some warm tones.

a rubber pool toy version of axer floats amongst bubbles under the waters of the pool rooms, surrounded by sprawling tiled structures. a circle of bubbled air is on the tiled floor below his rubbery feet. the image is in grayscale except for the shines on his rubber skin which are in a hot pink. the words" pool rooms vol. 5" are in the upper left of the image.

Marty wrote one half-decent piece of music once and it went so much to his head that he became insufferable to the point that his own friends at Bungie kicked him out of the room for the negotiations with Microsoft. He hates me because I know this about him. Now all of you do too.

I just adore how often you find yourself going 'what the fuck is that' and then immediately after 'that is pretty, and fucked up, but I see the vision' especially with the art pieces and the cenobites themselves

A thing I think about a lot is how directly this stuff is descended from casino customer-tracking apps as they were emerging in the 90s. Addiction By Design covers this in a chapter - casinos harvest data on videoslot players and then measure exactly where their "Frustration point" is on losses.

I finished Hellraiser: Revival today and holy shit, what a game, I am so happy I played it. The game is gorgeous, the plot is good, it delivers more than I expected from a Hellraiser videogame in 2026 after so many terrible movies this poor franchise got.
