Yes William Morris Golden Lily - I ended up with them in my first house too! The stick insects hid in them.

Summer in Derbyshire means one thing: Wakes weeks and carnivals! Eyam has a long tradition of letting its hair down — and these clips from the 1965 Eyam Carnival prove it! From colourful costumes to community spirit, it’s a brilliant snapshot of village life in full celebration mode. #LocalHistory

Yes it gets funnier the more you watch it because you notice more little lines and looks.

Can you recommend a user friendly, straightforward plant based cook book? Preferably for family meals. I feel like a lack of go to vegan cooking skills is preventing me cook more plant based meals.

Looking for inspiration this summer? Why not visit the Landscapes Unlocked exhibition at Bakewell Visitor Centre. Discover stunning images from the Peak District National Park archive held at the Derbyshire Record Office. You might just find a new perspective on a familiar place!

A sign reading 'National Park Warden' has been affixed above the windscreen.Interior view of an exhibition space at the Bakewell Visitor Centre with pale green display panels featuring mounted photographs. The room has exposed stone walls, timber ceiling beams and a large black metal beam overhead. The photographs depict local traditions and community events, and are part of an exhibition displayed in a heritage building with blue carpeted flooring.

Foxes ran off with one of the dog's toys the other night. A squeaky one. And squeaked it for ages in next door's garden.

@alastaircampbell2.bsky.social Contenders for tree of the day found in Ecclesall Woods during my first time orienteering since school.
Wobbly gnarly tree trunk centre stage rising up on a lush green forest backgroundIncredibly spiky pointy weathered roots of a fallen tree trunk. Looks like an explosion of wood

#StandingStoneSunday Standing Stone in my garden. Made by my husband @steverochestone.bsky.social with the inscription 'All Shall Be Well' in memory of my Mum. Quote from Julian of Norwich.
Tall, thin slate stone against a green hedge with a dark red acer in the foreground. Inscription on stone reads 'All Shall Be Well'

I know little about classical music but had a summer job working The Three Choirs Festival box office and went to see this performed at night by candlelight in Worcester Cathedral. Very atmospheric with bats flying down the nave.

Sheffield used to be a centre of cough sweet manufacture. There were factories near West Bar so next time you're cycling Grey to Green stop off and see extracts from their posters carved by my husband in stone!

This one tree probably wasn't my tree of the day but it was very impressive. And massive. Actual tree of the day was mossy in a creepy wood and I was too busy with the dog to take a photo
Multiple bare Beech tree branches reaching up across a grey sky Several chunky bare Beech trunks stemming from behind a dry stone wall and in front of a grey sky. The trunks have lots of carved initials.

I see all these beautiful photos but recently I've been seeing our local foxes scampering around the streets in the dark around 8pm ish when I'm picking my kid up from Scouts. No good photos! One had a rat in it's mouth! Or something.
