checked my shit and it’s basically just paraphrasing my purchase history from the last 2 years to make it sound like my purchases are personality traits - e.g. “organizes living spaces systematically” (because… I bought some bins) - which is its own kind of weird and disturbing

I’m glad more people are pointing this out. I talked about it it a few weeks ago w/ @janus.bsky.social Companies are attempting a sleight of hand where they capture data but argue because of how it’s processed it’s not “recording” and is thus private. They are still surveillance devices!

Users hate AI. So tech made it mandatory. Even if you don't use it, it pollutes what you read and how systems make decisions. The computer's hallucinated word is final. And it needs all of your data to do it. In the age of no consent, UX exists to normalized complete acquiescence to surveillance:

The AI age is the "age of no consent"
"Inevitability" means design decisions are no longer informed by user needs; now they are unilaterally imposed. The users are the ones being designed.

A cynical part of me thinks the only reason these ghouls are pushing the “AI could be conscious rhetoric” is because when it comes to deciding whether humans or data centers should get access to limited energy and water resources, they want ambiguity about why humans should clearly take precedent.

So the recall on the sausage is a pretty ‘normal’ recall but uh I find this other recall mentioned below the fold MUCH WORSE
In a separate recent Class I recall, Star Meat Delivery Inc. recalled approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat items due to production without inspection, per an FSIS announcement on Sept. 22.
The FSIS said the recalled items had a "false USDA mark of inspection."
"The products subject to recall bear false marks of inspection with establishment number 'EST. 1363, which does not have a federal grant of inspection," the agency said. "Any product bearing the false establishment number 'EST. 1363' should be considered misbranded and unsafe to eat."
No confirmed illnesses or injuries have been reported.
The products were delivered in bulk under the A&D Foods label.
A&D Foods told PEOPLE in an emailed statement that it notified customers to remove recalled items once it learned of Star Meat Delivery Inc!'s recall.
'We have been in direct communication with our customers and are assisting them with the appropriate recall procedures," the company said.

this kind of hierarchical leveling is cult shit. subject ‘lower’ levels to abuse so they are less able to think and function + are motivated to comply with the system of control for relief. then reward higher levels to induce complicity, esp via getting them to inflict suffering on ‘lower’ levels.

Use Cases
Law Enforcement
One of this feature's most prominent use cases would be accurately identifying individuals from evidence files. Law enforcement agencies can save time analyzing security, CCTV, or dashcam footage. If they have a description of the suspect, such as their supposed age, gender, or race, they can utilize attribute filters to yield effective results.

Demographic Analysis
Person attribute detection allows for a more insightful demographic analysis when addressing bias or discrimination. Organizers, surveyors, or researchers can analyze and obtain meaningful information about the treatment of people in a particular field or workplace. Demographic analysis with attribute prediction can highlight which groups face discrimination or have a systematic bias against them.

Consumer Analysis
This feature can also help sellers or retailers identify their audience better. By analyzing the activity in their store, sellers can determine which group spends the most time and makes the most purchases of their products. Getting insights such as these can aid them in tuning their marketing strategy or introducing new products that meet the needs of their most active customers. What race categories does VIDIZMO's Face Attribute Prediction recognize?
Seven: White, Black, Indian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latino Hispanic, plus a "Not Predicted" category for faces the model detects but can't confidently classify. You can also view and filter detections using attributes in Studio Space. Moreover, you can even perform redaction on these detected faces by creating filter criteria that meet your preferences. Age is the first attribute you can use to filter out individuals from the detections. In this feature, the available age range is 0 – 70+ years, divided into brackets with specific years. The age brackets are 0-3,4-9,10-19 and 20- 29; these continue till 60- 69, and then the large age bracket consists of ages that are 70+. Selecting one or more age brackets will only bring forward the detections that the model predicts belong to the age range.

The second attribute to filter detections is gender. It has two categories: Male and Female. Selecting either of the options will only highlight or bring forward the detections that the model predicts are men or women.

The third attribute that can be predicted is race. You can identify individuals from seven races: White, Black, Indian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latino Hispanic.
