Fake news - anyone else find it ominous that Reform is making its own news operation? Guess they have to find some way to spend the millions of pounds of foreign donations…

Deform UK ltd’s “internal investigation” into foreign donations has cleared Deform UK ltd of any wrongdoing exposed by Channel 4. The investigators were Deform’s own legal secretary and general secretary; almost like the Nuremberg trials being presided over by Josef Goebbels and Heinrich Himmler.

There we have it. Reform officially ditches its pledge - or rather, its 2024 "contract" with voters - to back proportional representation. A clear breach of contract... Via Politico:
In other Reform news: Second-in-command Richard Tice finally admitted that now the voting system Farage has long railed against could help him win a general election, the party no longer wants to scrap it. Farage used to want first-past-the-post replaced with a form of proportional representation.

Here’s the line: “In order to rescue the country from the gravity of the chaos that we face, actually a proper majority is needed from a right of center, conviction-led Reform government,” Tice told Times Radio this morning. Asked whether that meant Reform no longer wants electoral reform, he said: “Yes, because the crisis is so great.”

Chancellor plans major intervention to help poorer UK households with rising energy bills
Exclusive: Officials working on further radical changes that would change how much energy companies could charge customers John Healey is considering a major intervention to cut energy bills for poorer households at this month’s budget, after ministers became alarmed at forecasts which show bills rising by hundreds of pounds in January. The chancellor is working on plans to spend more than £1bn to help energy consumers, the bulk of which is likely to go towards increasing the discount given to households on certain benefits. Person one: Taught my kids how socialism works. Let them trick or treat while I stayed home. Then took all their candy. Socialism 101.

Person two : The socialism part is where the community came together and fed your kids for free. The capitalism part is where you made them do all the work and stole from them.
