I like books, but not just any books. Tend the soil & forget the oil. I eschew disregard of the shared path etiquette. One of the only me.

This poem sets out the body as wounded and miraculous.   It is about survival & reclamation of power   There is such depth in the images, there is music in these lines, this is a poem to read out loud and slowly   #poetry #poemoftheday #blackhistorymonth

I reached the part in The Plot Against America referring to the 1939 Madison Square Garden rally. I check out names and events in the novel to see if they really happened. Often hard to believe. Not a history fan but I like to know, if it's pertinent to today and tomorrow. Not a bed of roses.

Is it a bird?! Is it a plane?! No, it is a bird, a herring gull tanking along on the strong wind, appearing battleship grey against the lightening sky.

2027 is the Year of the Goat 🐐 In a new set of Lunar New Year's Greeting Postage Stamps from Taiwan, auspicious goats wander freely among camellia blossoms, clusters of coral ardisia flowers, and fruit, symbolizing a year of bountiful harvests and the promise of a brilliant future together.
NT$15 souvenir sheet: “Three Goats Bring Prosperity,” the background incorporates imagery of the resilient “Three Friends of Winter.” These
symbolize the steadfastness and Mother-Earth-like nurturing that characterize 3
the Year of the Goat. The image conveys the message of spring’s return and the flourishing of new life, expressing wishes for enduring blessings and burgeoning success in the new year.

The image symbolizes prosperity and the
steady accumulation of wealth. NT$13 stamp: “Joy and Abundance,” an auspicious goat wanders leisurely through a sea of camellia blossoms, conveying blessings of good fortune, health, and prosperity. The image symbolizes celebration, auspiciousness, and a bountiful harvest.

Not much. I pulled the plug on my main one and got locked out of the other when I criticised E M: When I tried to sign in I got 'authenticate yourself' messages and had to do those things where you slide sections of images together, and they were always wrong, even when they weren't. So that was it

First bird of my day: too fast to say for sure, silhouette straight above on a silvery sky. A blackbird? I'm sure the birds know just who they are.

How happy I am to have stumbled upon this online UK bookshop I'm not a swords&sandals fan but their sci fi selection is what allured me
An undisclosed book wrapped in the final layer it was delivered in, decorated with a repeating motif which alludes to the bookstore's mainstays: a sword pierces the spine of an open book, and both are caught in the tractor-beam of the flying saucer hovering above them. All on a layer of exotic, pale brown dunnage.
