I've been sleeping badly lately. In and out and in and out of sleep. Usually, I got to sleep with a podfic playing on my very sexy Snooze Band, and I set a timer to turn of SoundCloud after 30 mins so I don't have to go back too far next time. Last night I forgot to set the timer.

My mum gave blood 65 times. I intended to try and beat her, but giving blood brought on migraines, and the last couple of times they rejected me for being borderline anaemic. So it's been a few years but I might give it another try.

There certainly doesn't seem to be less traffic on the roads. Some people are using e-bikes and scooters, but most of them don't seem to be people who had cars anyway. I suppose for most of us in the UK we do much less mileage so the impact isn't as great.

If I've done my maths correctly, converting $ to £ and gallons to litres, the cheapest petrol near me today was $7.42 per gallon (£1.65 per litre). And that was with a Costco membership. I think when prices first leapt up a couple of yrs ago people drove less, but we got used to it.

I think it might be a cultural thing arising from a time when women had less influence at home and had to blow off steam with other women. It's a bonding experience!

My husband worked at home 3 days a week since covid lockdowns stopped. I work entirely at home and had done for several years before the pandemic. He went back to the office full time in December, and I'm so happy to have my space back. So, so happy.

I love them and I really like them, but if I didn't let off steam with my female friends about what twats they are I would explode. They probably think I'm a twat too but don't have emotional convos with their mates in the same way.

They will all cook but absolutely destroy the kitchen every time. They never come back from Tesco with everything that was on the list. They never replace a finished toilet roll. They all prefer to outsource remembering any diary commitments to me. And I'm working so hard on training them.

I think the differences are more cultural than innate, but some of the stereotypes are rooted in common experience. With our 2 sons I live with three men, and none of them can find things for shit. They will all step over or walk right through muck on the floor before cleaning it up.

I think it is part of straight-women culture. We have to do it or we'd go mad. I honestly don't think I'd have the same complaints about a female partner, because most of the complaints are to do with how differently we think and move through the world.

I've been with my husband since 1999, married in 2005. I love him dearly, and he's a good one. No toxic masculinity going on, hands-on dad, reasonably domesticated, etc. I complain about him all the time, and my friends all complain about their good male partners, and we always have.

I'm 51 in September. I didn't have a 50th birthday as the shitshow that was the last year was so firmly underway that I asked my friends and family to let it go by unacknowledged, which they mostly stuck to. There will be some birthday fun this year. Cocktails will be consumed.

The gift that keeps on giving! I came out patchy when pregnant, and I've had it a bit before, but never so prominent or widespread l. One year it did accumulate on my top lip only, which was a difficult time.

And my husband and youngest child both had serious panic attacks while snorkelling yesterday. Husband had to be rescued by paddle board. He was grey for about an hour. That was not relaxing, and it really cut into my delightful snorkelling experience.

I find I can switch off my overactive thoughts in the pool and just count lengths & focus on how I'm moving. Love the idea of a floatation tank in theory but worry about finding it claustrophobic in practice
