Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

9/ The tariffs are DESIGNED to create economic hardship. Why? So that Trump has a straight face rationale for releasing them, business by business or industry by industry. As he adjusts or grants relief, it’s a win-win: the economy improves and dissent disappears.

A NIH study section (grant review committee) meeting I am on who was supposed to meet Friday was just cancelled. I suspected b/c PO fired, but also very worrisome for the Trump regime's ability to effectively stop scientific research in its tracks. This was not what people voted for.

Health insurance harms my patients more than disease. Insurance denied coverage of a dying person’s last days because they weren’t ready to go on comfort care & a college senior who didn’t realize their insurance lapsed was saddled with thousands in medical debt for an unexpected admission.
