idk why people write 'tloasg' imo 'tloas' rolls off the tongue so much easier, it's more lightweight, super aerodynamic, and also doesn't cross below the baseline. pretty based if u ask me

I know this is wrong but I just wish I could have a break from stores being closed on Sundays - as a treat, during my vacation, so I don't have to stress as much :(

START DOING COMPUTER SCIENCE

* VARIABLES WERE SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN NAMES
* YEARS OF PROGRAMMING yet STILL MORE TO CREATE
* Don't want to write code anyway? We have a field for you: It's called THEORY
* "Well typed programs don't go wrong." "Boolean satisfiability is NP-complete." "Every effectively calculable function is computable." — Statements dreamed up by the utterly inspired

LOOK at what computer scientists deserve your Respect for all this time, with all the circuits and computers we built for them
(This is REAL computer science, done by REAL computer scientists):

to wax somewhat excessively philosophical, i do think that meaning requires effort and that one must devote one’s self to a craft to create beautiful things. this can look like it’s hard to square with the idea of “accessibility”, but i don’t think it has to be!

Designs B, H, I and, J are clearly superior. That said, what bothered me about the process is the voting system. It would have made much more sense to have this as a ranked voting system. Seeing all the designs first, then having to order them from best to worst.

You know how IDEs give you a red squiggly underline if you use a variable that hasn't been defined? I want the same thing for writing prose. Red underline if you refer to a non-obvious concept that hasn't previously been defined in the text.

sadly this in no way corrects for total # of songs but alas here we go whatsyourera.com
chart labeled "my Taylor Swift album enjoyment". y axis is % songs liked and loved , x axis is the albums.

the first three albums have around 60% liked and loved increasing from 20 to 50. red has 87% liked and 60% loved. the initial climb peaks at 1989 with 95% liked and 80% loved. rep and Lover both have 80% liked, but 50% and 20% loved, respectively. folklore and evermore are rated identically with 94% liked and 60% loved. midnights slightly increases to 65% loved but only 86% liked. ttpd has the same likes, but only 45% loved, in part due to the high song count. tloas dominates with 100% liked (but very few songs) but also only 50% loved.

Two papers came out last week that suggest classical asymmetric cryptography might indeed be broken by quantum computers in just a few years. That means we need to ship post-quantum crypto now, with the tools we have: ML-KEM and ML-DSA. I didn't think PQ auth was so urgent until recently.

The risk that cryptographically-relevant quantum computers materialize within the next few years is now high enough to be dispositive, unfortunately.

Multi-agentic Software Development is a Distributed Systems Problem (AGI can't save you from it)

Recently I've been thinking a lot about scaffolding and langauges for managing systems of LLMs coordinating with each other -- newp rogramming langauges might be the ideal solution for this area.

Making your conference talk slides? Make the font bigger. Do it again. I know the default font looks ok when you’re looking at it on your laptop but I promise no one can read that from the back If you can’t fit all the words you want on one slide, you have too many words. Make another slide!
