back when i was in community college in the early 2010s it was clear the STEM over saturation was going to lead poorly. i didn't think THIS poorly mind you but the humanities are so vital to a well rounded education and just your...humanity and they were just violently drained dry in favor of STEM

just personal interpretation/theorying of course but it does lead me to wonder if now that they're more active on the surface than in thousands of years if that will shift to universal adoption of chantry calendars.

i've been thinking on this and i honestly think that orzammar and kal-sharok would have completely different calendars, with the former adopting the chantry system for ease of trade with the surface and kal-sharok still on the tevinter calendar bc that was their main trade partners before isolation

2nd month: Pluitanis / Guardian (Annum: Wintersend)
3rd month: Nubulis / Drakonis

5th month: Molioris / Bloomingtide (Annum: Summerday)

doin’ my best

Photo of a colored pencil drawing on gray toned paper with a little pug sitting at a CRT computer monitor and a background showing Microsoft Paint with a crude drawing of a pug in some grass near a house and tree. The words across the top read “doin’ my best.”

reading endrin's wiki entry for some context as i am writing thalia's character profile and it's cracking me up that if you are a male aeducan and sleep with one of the noble hunters your kid is named endrin, and bhelen names his son endrin. real targaryen hours with how many aegons there are lmao

tummy full and ready for a nap

Fishtopher, a classic brown tabby cat with green eyes, lays on a white bed. He looks at the camera with a relaxed, neutral expression.

I hate that writers took the wrong less away from GRRM's use of death

210

Linnymother 🐙 @linnybobinny.bsky.social · 7h

And honestly the only reason a character death should be used is for the impact of their loss. If its nonsensical or resolves everything in a nice bow that's lazy and cheap shock :|

Trying again! I am looking for a real human artist who works primarily in pen / ink / charcoal on paper and whose style is NOT based on animation, graphic novels, or video games. Fine art vibes. Low detail, bold lines. I need 3 character portraits for my book and can pay $50/each. Recommendations?
