I don't love that stuff but it's a world away from GenAI. 16719105
Reposted by Linka Hee-Ho (Local Cryptid)John Linneman @dark1x.bsky.social · 17hEG fell for it too. :( The Capcom presentation contains a slide with "AI世代のゲームエンジンへ" - the article omits the "へ", for one, but the issue is that while 世代 means 'generation', it's in the 'console generation' sense, not like GenAI. Without へ, translation software gets it totally wrong. 211868667

Linka Hee-Ho (Local Cryptid) @linka13.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The one thing I'm thankful for in terms of terminology is that the TCG effectively stuck to "tribute summon" cause OCG switched over to "advance summon", no one is going to know what that is unless they A) read the rules or B) watched a character do it in a show (half the point) 010

Linka Hee-Ho (Local Cryptid) @linka13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The way it portrayed the transmission of the virus too— and its progression when it starts to intensify— is terrifying in its own right. Some real gross parts, too. But like… in terms of a video game movie? It all works. Anyway that guy in the middle absolutely caused the entire problem. 010
Linka Hee-Ho (Local Cryptid) @linka13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I think out of his movies, this is my second favorite I’ve seen (below Weapons, above Barbarian) and I can see why people are massively divided on the ending, too. But the visual effects are nuts and you can genuinely feel a sense of anxiety, wondering what’s around each corner. 110
Linka Hee-Ho (Local Cryptid) @linka13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Hey yeah I saw RE. I even got to experience it with the fancy D-Box seats which had motion effects so uhhhhh that was intense on top of everything else! It was fun seeing the little elements I definitely recognized from the games, but good lord did things escalate. 110
