“Recognizing the scope and impact of heterogeneity in basic neuroscience is essential if we want to understand complex conditions and the brain in health and disease,” write @lindadouw.bsky.social, Klaus Eyer and Lara Keuck. #neuroskyence www.thetransmitter.org/science-and-...

By applying analysis techniques they had been using to study the brain to their lab meetings, @lindadouw.bsky.social and team identified ways to boost communication among people with very different backgrounds. By @emilysingerneuro.bsky.social #neuroskyence www.thetransmitter.org/methods/how-...

This was a fun one to write! We delineate 3 network scaffolds relevant for glioma: symptom networks, connectomes and tumor biology. Also propose ways forward towards 'network-informed care'!

I'll be at poster 735 #ohbm2025 today and tomorrow 🤩 Come talk about what a structure-function multilayer network approach can 👍 and cannot 👎 tell us about cognition in multiple sclerosis!

Love attending sessions outside my own application at #netsci2025, like biodiversity at the MIX-NEXT satellite. Thanks Sonia Kefi, Johannes Nauta and @thilogross.bsky.social, the latter of whom left me pondering this quote: "We are very bad at comparing things that are very different".

🚨 New paper out! Maureen van Dam looked at how cognitive and psychological symptoms interrelate in people with MS. Found that symptom networks were strongly interconnected in people with impaired information processing. ➡️ journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...
