How do you perceive complex networks? 10 seconds of your time to help Fabrizio De Vico Fallani and his team netviz.icm-institute.org
Networks are graphical objects composed of nodes and links that are used to analyze and model complex systems, and have broad implications in several fields including social science, biology, physics, engineering and art.

The information contained in networks essentially depends on the number of its constituting links. Visually this corresponds to wiring diagrams that are more or less dense and hard to read.

The NetViz project aims to understand how humans filter information in complex networks. Is there a common-sense? If so, what network characteristics influence such “sense”?

To help answering these basic questions, we invite you to participate in a quick interactive game (~less than one minute) allowing you to explore and select the best number of network links to visualize according to your own personal feeling and taste.

The results of this survey will be shared publicly and will form a freely open database that can be used to develop and validate theories and mo
