while playing Foutunes Weave I am constantly thinking of 3 Houses and how this game is actually better in every aspect I have issue with in 3H. Like the world map is such a better way to do the calendar system since it does not feel like it flattens the pacing

work got so much AI pilled while I was on vacation it drives me insane. I just hear constantly how cool it is to not use their brain. Just seeing people becoming more reliant and dependend on Claude in real time is actually kind of scary

I frequently see "AI" boosters implying that LLMs are simply an innate and superior part of coding now, inescapable, and that literally all programmers agree with them. And, well. That, too, is a form of propaganda

Looking at my software peers in 2026 I see fatigued faces, I see frustration, and I see a lot of people looking for a way out of an industry that seems poised on the brink of collapse. LLMs are being pushed on us at every turn, most people seem at best frustrated by them, and ultimately they seem to appeal most to people who see the production of software as a purely mechanical means to an end. They are antithetical, however, to the idea of software as a craft, or something requiring both initial and ongoing care. As an expression of the soul.

so I spend the entire day watching all of Prisma Illya (minus the movies) and you can tell instantly where a filler is because either the problematic material is amped up noticably... or it's 2wei Herz where the pacing slows to a crawl for halg the season becaue they had like 1.5 seasons of content

Nothing sounds like more of a turn off to me than making yet another trilogy of Star Wars movies in the Skywalker Saga. The thing that only exists like this because we had to retrofit the sequel trillogy onto it and conclusively ended... twice already

seeing arlos take on Metroid 1 is so weird. Like on the one hand you can make your own map, something which was incentivised back when this game first released. On the other hand this is the year 2026 and you can just google "metroid 1 map" and get more than enough results
