Tell people whose work has helped you that it has done so, as receiving these kinds of messages can be a huge boost. I was getting very jaded.

Today would have been my brother Con's birthday so I've bought myself a kaleidoscope and am going stare through that for awhile.

Only 71,850 people have registered to vote in the new Higher Education constituency for the Seanad, despite a potential electorate of between 800,000 and 1,000,000 graduates. The unified 6-seater is open to graduates of over 80 higher level institutions, not just the historic TCD and NUI.

I find it very amusing when someone I follow on socials posts 3 anti Ai stories and follows it up with a very clearly Ai generated video of something "cute".

In 1860, a local landowner tried to interfere with public access to a ruined church & graveyard on his land in Killone, Co Clare. Letters to the paper give us a sense of the local reaction - ‘for he who wars with the handful of dust at his feet is no friend to the living’ (Munster News, 14 Jan)

The things I want to yell right now are not bad, quite the opposite... it's that level of privacy that I like but also the complex relationship we all have with our online personas and how much rein we let ourselves have in it.

I've so many different social media accounts with various levels of privacy, yet there is so much I want to yell into the world that I don't put on any of them or if I do it gets deleted very quickly.

I don't invite people I don't like into my house to let them tell me how mine or other people's existence is wrong. Not going to do that with my pocket life either. Block all the way (if I could do it in real life I would)
