My brother Con is dead 10 years today. Still talk to him daily but he doesn't answer back. Wonder what he would have made of the last decade, though I know he'd have thought it was all ridiculous.

Went to a sober rave, I love dancing so was on the floor all the time but it felt so like a school disco as people just stood by the walls staring at the dance floor 😆 Very few of us actually danced.

On the 16 September 1907, a bust of writer Gerald Griffin was unveiled at the former Creagh Lane, Christian Brothers School. Previously a courthouse for the trial of the murder of the "Colleen Bawn" (Ellen Hanley). This article was published in Sydney's The Freeman's Journal on 31 October 1907.

A copy of "Letters on Animal Magnetism" by Limerick born Mary Crumpe (1793-1861) from Harry Houdini's personal library and now the US Library of Congress. The publication held original 1845 letters from the poet Thomas Moore to Mary Crumpe about her work. Read more theseaofbooks.com/2020/02/02/f...

Plaque of the day on Barrington Street to John Daly, who became Mayor of Limerick three years after his release from over a decade in prison.
Here Lived John Daly (1845-1916) Fenian imprisoned 1884-1896 Mayor of Limerick 1899 - 1902 and his nephew commandant Edward Daly (1891-1916). Erected by the Thomond Archaeological Society and admirers.

Yesterday I went to Clonmel Pride. It is so lovely to go to smaller Pride events. Might have been less than 100 in the parade but there was still a lot of support from the sidelines. #speirgorm
