Many who speak about DEI being removed from employment are forgetting disabled people in that conversation. It’s not surprising since most forget about us as a whole but this is going to make it so disabled people can barely get hired or receive any accommodations. We’re barely surviving as is.

now is not the time to have "no politics" rules in your twitch channels. you can have safe words, and channel point redeems to change the subject, but people shouldn't have to second guess whether they're allowed to exist as themselves in a video game stream or not

I think the worst part of being disabled and needing help with access needs is that a lot of times I CAN DO THINGS,,, But the issue is that if I do it, it might be the leadup to me seizing bad enough that I knock me and my gamer chair over, and am collapsed on the ground till I can move again

Please stop telling me that crime must be deterred. Studies have shown over and over again that in the context of criminal law, deterrence theory is a myth. It doesn't work. It never has. That's a copaganda myth. Poverty is the cause of most crime. Eliminate poverty, and you eliminate most crime.

Please PLEASE go comment in favor of this rule. The subminimum wage for disabled folks is vile and evil and *must* be eliminated. The poverty rate of disabled folks is astronomical compared to abled folks. There is no doubt this disgusting discriminatory policy is part of the reason why.

the thing about disability denial and insurance is that it happens far too often, and it leaves disabled people to die, literally. My wheelchair provider won't pay for lights on my wheelchair to keep me safe, and they have even questioned why I need a tilt function on my chair.

A person may use a wheelchair because they cannot stand or walk at all. A person may use a wheelchair because they cannot walk for long distances. A person may use a wheelchair because they are recovering. A person may use a wheelchair due to fatigue. These reasons are all valid.

I think some of you who don’t count audiobooks as reading forget that disabled people exist and physical limitations are a thing I have a hard time with turning pages and keeping a book open. So I use audiobooks I swear most of you forget disabled people exist until it’s convenient for you
