I've entered my deepest rabbit hole of miniature wargaming with this game that scratches all my itches and has returned to me the feeling of discovery/exploration I enjoyed when I played Skyrim/[insert aimless wandering game here] for the first time.

Five Leagues from the Borderlands 3rd Edition - arrived yesterday, but I've been playing all weekend using the PDF.

I sacrificed my sleep schedule for AoS and got orientalism instead. 💀

Thursday morning is looking like an exciting time - Warhammer previews at 10am followed by Warmachine keynote at 10:55! Hope for lots of pretty models to spot!

I have PtG Skaven to work on, KO to arm, and finally figured-out Fyreslayers to paint and base! So what do I do? Work on Inneath elves for Ghost Archipelago 💀 My Heritor, Shalira, is leftmost wearing a slain rakshasa, one of the many assassins sent to hunt her down before her power can awaken.

Mostly Elves of Inneath models, with the dwarf acting as the Savage. Some geese and a goat from Warlord for the Beast Warden to summon.

I always love seeing Saul's terrain out, so always an instant reshare. @tectonic-dan.bsky.social asked me about terrain bases the other night, but the tetris boxes I transport my terrain in just don't allow for it; I love the effect though: I have two in my display case since they can't travel.

A fun fact: Serbia has been (loosely through treaty, not geographical membership) part of ASEAN since 2023! This was an all ASEAN GT 😄

I don’t think we have enough Ravaged Coast books out to do this forging.

To nobody’s surprise, the most abusive force in the race to the treasure ship is the insurance company. However, for the first time, the Captain is taken down! Ignobly too, as a horse tramples on him during the Angankorian Expedition’s retreat. That’s going to leave a mark.

After wreaking havoc in the back lines, the Captain stands in the wrong spot and gets horse boot in snail face.

Despite my making 8 clusters for today, they roll the minimum 2 clusters and no twists, making this a truly unprofitable field and arousing my Skaven schadenfreude at these two CoS forces.

Lichcasts @lichcasts.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

The two evil CoS airship armies meet at last 😏 Floyde’s of Aqshy (herohammer) and the Angankorian Expedition (starter boxes) meet in a hidden cleft high in the mountains.

Got the widget from our visitors last week from Team Serbia (Boggy specifically) during the Wartilyo GT while asking about region-made carrying cases - from Castle Gate Games! A fellow Skaven enjoyer is always welcome.

Oops our new player had an emergency and may cancel, so the need for a “second army” as organiser is becoming necessary as I rack up the most # of games. Here’s some visual updates on the Clatterclaw Reavers - the Doom-Rotor is (99% but functionally) done!

I also last minute remembered to make some Warcrow preorders here, as Office is one of two or three stores locally that bring in Corvus Belli.

I say 4th week, but last week and this week are looking to be lean - but momentum is momentum! One game happened last week, one new player joining today, probably 1-2 games today depending on time. I owe an update on the large 2nd week games, and look forward to hanging out today talking stories.

Lichcasts @lichcasts.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

It’s the 4th week of Ravaged Coast games… and everyone is coming in the late afternoon while I’m here in the morning 💀 One of our play spaces has moved us inside now and the card players outside - but today the table is for @sans-gravitas.bsky.social’s local Infinity Narrative Campaign and demos!

No longer outside in the wilds, we now are nestled in the quiet interior.

When we take 2-4 tables, these combine to form those tables and we own the entire interior if so!

After presenting my painted Gotrek and Maleneth + playing out the Ghoulslayer in store battleplan I was able to get my Master Rune of Krag Blackhammer. (+ a Maleneth warscroll ^^) Got a minor defeat cos Ghouls swarmed the people while Gotrek fought the big guy. (battleplans below) #AgeOfSigmar

It forever amuses me that in a campaign setting with Chaos worshippers and Skaven, I can still categorically say that my humans are just the worst. #RavagedCoast #LumiereRealmlords #PathToGlory #AoS #AgeOfSigmar

Today is apparently the celebration of what is perhaps my favourite conversion project, the Curator-Magnate of my Sea of Scholars-based skyport and its great museum: Havard Erkansson. This action-alechaeologist's famed motto? "In ruin, opportunity."

Three years ago, I put the model together using Brokk's kit, a Subnautican from Necromunda, Bastian's one-handed hammer, and a scratch built base.

Here it sits in my display case with its large base. He used to proxy for a Celestant Prime when I needed one for Matched - will likely come back in the future as an Anvil of Apotheosis character. Loved him as an "Ally" though because even if Havard is on your list, he's not necessarily on your side :):

And here's just a silly thing I made a few years ago. Lots of stories got written about Havard Erkansson. Surely you've read one?

Krzzt the Conductive now nestled in the depths of the Doom-Rotor. He’ll be barely visible later except for his spear tip, but he’ll be there, lurking.

Krzzt is one of the Clatterclaw Reavers’ command coven, a Bilgeborn who rose through the ranks because of his seeming immunity to warp lightning and the inability of many warlocks to stop him from wringing their necks. His body is the “wire” through which the energy for the warp-lightning cannon flows. Ill-used to the light, he stays in the bowels, ensuring the wiring and rigging of the tank stay in operation by guarding the hole through which the Skaven broke into the tank.

Goblin Market will be a six-month, casual narrative campaigns for Infinity the Game in Metro Manila from March 1 to August 31. Commanders will fight to take control of Asteroid ASA-1862GM deep in Ariadnan space to control its rich neo-materials and uncover the secrets hidden within its depths.

The one unrecognised ability might be their Path ability, which we've just stuck on the scrolls.

Lichcasts @lichcasts.bsky.social · 23/02/2025

That said I did kill one and I very almost killed the other too. I had to risk it all though because of that range and power - the failure saw me tabled after 💀

Definitely secondary ranged guns. I felt them!

I'll get back to you once more experience is under us. It was just a bit shocking to get hit by two CoS frigates in a row, and we'll soon see the DoK wizard warmachine in action. It might be Ravaged Coast's Path of the Sorcerer on top of good armour and beefiness. One is getting "Grizzled Vet" too 😬
