West London tube observation compared to east London everybody puts their bag on the adjacent seat rather than the floor / their lap and look put out when you need to sit down… I get the bag is probably expensive but the floors are cleaned more often than the seats lads

I hate sending chasing emails when invoices are overdue. Just, like, pay me for the work I did for you? It’s a new relationship so I’m loath to charge a late fee. I guess they get until Friday then I reinvoice. How exhausting.

I don’t have the words. John Blanche was an absolute inspiration for essentially my entire creative life. I had the incredible pleasure of meeting him, @gavthorpe.bsky.social & JJ in 2008/9(?) at WHW for the Inquisitor GT. We shared a drink & some war stories. He was v kind about my (not so) minis.

Rest in Peace, John Blanche. The legacy of his artistry has inspired people to create whole subcultures in the larger miniaturing culture, for artists to try new and personal things, and cemented the vision many have of what Warhammer should look like. One of the greatest to ever do it.

I’m afraid I bring you some very sad news today.

John Blanche’s wife Lin has asked me to let you all know that John passed away a couple of days ago.

John was an inspirational artist, devoted to his family and a good friend to many. Always generous with his time and knowledge, he was very well loved by all who knew and worked with him. He’ll be hugely missed.

The world of Warhammer was brought to life by his vision of the grimdark setting and I know his art meant a lot to so many of you. He leaves behind an enormous legacy that has enriched many people’s lives.

The family will say goodbye to John privately but there will be a get together in the future for everyone to celebrate John’s life.

Absolutely phenomenal weekend at the Warhammer Open Birmingham at the UK Games Expo playing age of sigmar. Somehow I qualified for the world championships of Warhammer as best overall. Pretty special. Zero prep. All vibes 😝 big thanks to my opponents and the other players: 16 was a 10/10 number

Game 2 against Philip Andreev’s Disciples of Tzeentch. Super tight. Despite getting Eltharion into Kairos t1 I couldn’t do the damage and Phil is a very strong opponent. 58-62 loss. On some kind of battle plan idk who am I a rules writer? Phil was particularly adept at shutting out my sentinels

This was an absolute joy to build and paint. Magnetised base for aos and old world. Skaven are simply the best lil guys out there. Having bags of fun in between commissions firing up the rat engines.

During the legendary Battle of the Warpwheel, the Troggboss Smash-It clashed with a gang of Doomwheels. Suddenly, a Mawkrusha rampaged through, indiscriminately flattening both the troggoth & Skaven alike.

Left for dead, the Troggboss slowly regenerated amidst the mechanical rubble, flesh melding with machinery & was further mutated/empowered by Warpstone energy.

How it ended up being 'piloted' by a Trugglet & former Grot lancer is a tale for another time...
