Surely the only conclusion that anyone can draw from Brazil (a carbon copy of Trump's second term win) is social media far right disinformation is a global virus. Andy Burnham must, absolutely must regulate, and sort our broader media regulation incl Ofcom and tackling GBNews. And must sack Nandy.

I've been a member of the lobby for well over a decade. Not a single one of my lobby colleagues has said a word about the Conservatives banning me from their conferences, without any explanation. Contrast with the US where even Fox News stood in solidarity when Trump banned news outlets he disliked

Over the next two years there is a lot that can go wrong: far right could win in France or Germany; thus blowing apart the EU. Spain going that way as you say, and a possibility Trump doesn't lose in November. Social media algorithms have to be a big part of this story. We need to regulate it here.

The issue is this poll had the reapondents have the policy explained correctly. The rightwing media will do their upmost to explain it very badly. He needs to invest in a comms campaign to explain it, and have his MPs do so one repeat. Preferably in a slogan!
