Growing up, the most familiar sound in our house was the Dalai Lama's voice playing on a tape recorder in my Dad's study. His Holiness & Buddhist teachings were the light that helped my father navigate the most difficult times. And now the same is true for me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt4g...

Reuters article reveals several of China’s dams in Tibet have been damaged from the recent earthquake. The damming of rivers in a seismically active country like Tibet poses great risks, which China often downplays.

The earthquake in Tibet is a nightmare on top of a nightmare. The majority of Tibetan school-age children have been separated from their families and made to live in state-run boarding schools. This includes 4 & 5-years olds whose parents have no choice but to send them to boarding preschools.
