Today, April 25, 2025, should have been celebration of 36th birthday of the Panchen Lama, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Instead, it’s a somber reminder of his disappearance & decades-long detention by Chinese authorities simply because he was recognized by HHDL as the 11th Panchen Lama.
