my sibling was with my while I played and said "he's not even three apples tall. he's just an apple" about Peter. we just call him the apple now.

yeah, the heavy narrative focus of 3H works really well for me, but that's because the character writing is really compelling - having similar ratios supports, cutscenes, and home base convos with less compelling writing is when it feels overwritten to me (like engage, i'd like more w/ less writing)

lex @lexplays.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

(though it's more of a venn diagram than a strict division, with a sliding scale corresponding to how much writing there is - ah, but i'm out of time to type, whoops)

oh yeah, I think old FE relies a lot on emergent narrative in a way that is less common in newer FE, and people's preferred FE style largely reflects what balance of emergent/scripted narrative they prefer (as well as gameplay preferences). imo FE divides into good writing/bad writing/sparse writing

Working on commissions and thought it’d be fun to do some Fire Emblem doodles as a warm up — and then I accidentally finished a portrait of Leda. Whoops! The Weave works in mysterious ways. Anyway, I’ve only done Cai’s route so far, but she seems cool.

The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time is a wild title and a wilder video game. I talked to @lucasimmanuel.bsky.social about his game development approach of committing to a bit. When I tell y'all that this game is currently at the top of my GOTY list... youtu.be/jOkjgdq6ESA

Working on all these videos, but this script in particular, has been such a joy and a privilege. I'm so grateful Matt gave me this platform to wax poetic about music, time, and Final Fantasy VII, and I can't wait for people to watch it.

Part of the reason a lot of super rich people are so awful is that when normal people get an absurd amount of money, they immediately start looking around for who they can help.
