I keep thinking about this line from Becoming @duchessgoldblatt.bsky.social "If you’ve ever wondered what the right thing is to say to someone who’s grieving a death, I think this is it: Tell me all about your dear one." Because yes, all I want to do is keep thinking about him and telling stories.

If you work for a book publisher that has introduced AI at any point in the publishing process, I'm working on a story and would like you speak with you, on-record or off-. Same goes if you're an author and you've witnessed your publisher using AI at any point in the publishing process.

When we hate on these disgusting immoral evil billionaires it’s bc just look at everything Dolly did. They could be doing that. They could just be helping people and every day they choose not to help people. They choose to harm. And when they die, we’ll dance and laugh and be thankful they’re gone.

Do I know anyone who is very good at forging handwriting? This is for artistic purposes not financial or legal, and I can pay. Because it turns out that while I can do a passable rendition of my mom's signature, I can't do my dad's handwriting AT ALL even with tracing paper.

My sister and I took IQ tests as kids for our school district's gifted and talented program (it was the '80s) and my mom has refused to ever tell us either of our scores (?) and I think that's one of the best parenting choices she's ever made.

There's a million examples of how abled people adopting an accessibility product is the thing that keeps it available for people who need it for accessibility, while things that are only marketed to disabled people suck or can't find their market! Buy the thing; you are not depriving someone else.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Slight tangent but: "It had been through a traditional publishing process with multiple rounds of editing and review"in this context gives the impression that this author thinks that traditional book publishers do fact checking, which as a general rule they do not.
