And they need to phase out wood-fire burners too which as well as emitting high amounts of CO2 (wood is NOT a renewable resource within the time frame we have to decarbonise!) also produces 100's of times more PM2.5 pollution than gas boilers (and that's an 'eco' wood fire burner) #brussels

There are some fires you can put out - the one in your home. Even 'eco' wood burners cause hundreds of times more PM2.5 pollution than a gas boiler. Burning only 1kg of wood pollutes 500,000m3 of air to double the WHO PM2.5 limits. #dontburnwherewebreathe air pollution kills

Last year, a review published in The Lancet Planetary Health found that exposure to outdoor #AirPollution increases the risk of dementia. So we're very glad the WHO has now updated its #Dementia guidelines to include the need to reduce air pollution. Another reason to keep pushing for cleaner air.
